Hello!
Greetings from Germany. We're glad that we've found a board, where we can talk seriously and objectively about unusual features on Mars. It's the first time we're discussing such things on a foreign board. So, we apologize, in advance, for any language errors.
The following discovery is from the northern part of the Terby crater. There we found something that can be best described with the term geoglyph. The picture was taken from the Mars Global Surveyor probe (MOC Image: r0401387)
Actually, we just wanted to examine different types of image interferences, but during our analysis these unusual figures came across. This discovery was the first of a series of anomalies that have convinced us that there are artificial structures on Mars.
Here is a magnification of the "geoglyphs". The image is additionally contrast enhanced.
Our interpretation of the lines shows that we are dealing here with two characters. The lower geoglyph shows a not identifiable figure/animal. This animal geoglyph seems to have a beak, protruding ears (or horns) and paws. Moreover, it seems to be in a kind of squatting position. It is a kind of hybrid/chimera.
Furthermore, it looks like that on the back of the animal figure stands another figure whose lines can not be fully represented. Here too, only the clearly recognizable lines were highlighted. The head can only be partially reconstructed.
The entire alignment shows several parallel lines. A very striking feature. Well known examples of the geoglyphs is the Nazca plain in Peru. There is a geoglyph in Peru that has strong similarities with the Martian geoglyph. Ironically, this own is also known as "the astronaut" or "El Astronauto".
The following image shows a comparison of the Terby and Nazca geoglyphs:
The animal figure fits discreetly into the collection of registered Nazca geoglyphs.
At the current state of research, a similar picture of the Terby animal can not be found in the Nazca plain. We have, meanwhile, found other very interesting cultural examples in our history, which show exactly that what we can see on Mars in the Terby crater. They could give us an explanation of the symbolical meaning. But more about that later.
Doubts whether the figure is the result of natural conditions are certainly justified. The parallels with terrestrial geoglyphs and the depicted symbolism are quite astounding, assuming that this is a natural creation. But how is the probability that all details shown here are purely natural origin?
For the moment we would be interested in your opinions.
