Polluks, nicely spotted!
It has a lot of very straight lines - and perpendicular lines making it up - and better yet - none of these straight lines run with the natural ground linement!

The giants-causeway in Nortnern Irland is a natural formation ... not an anomally but a geological curiosity.

I thought about that formation but i see random shapes instead of the geometrical pattern which looks more symmetrical. It looks more similar to the last picture shown by Marsrock

The hexes made me think of giant's causeway also. This is how wikipedia say that natural wonder was formed: Around 50 to 60 million years ago,[3] during the Paleogene Period, Antrim was subject to intense volcanic activity, when highly fluid molten basalt intruded through chalk beds to form an extensive lava plateau. As the lava cooled, contraction occurred. Horizontal contraction fractured in a similar way to drying mud, with the cracks propagating down as the mass cooled, leaving pillarlike structures, which are also fractured horizontally into "biscuits". In many cases the horizontal fracture has resulted in a bottom face that is convex while the upper face of the lower segment is concave, producing what are called "ball and socket" joints. The size of the columns is primarily determined by the speed at which lava from a volcanic eruption cools.[6] The extensive fracture network produced the distinctive columns seen today. Would this happen to the stones in giant's causeway if they were subject to Mars like weathering conditions and time? Could this just be a strange drying mud effect? I have no idea. Yes, could be a possibility but you forget something; the pattern I found looks more hollow than solid those in the preceeding pictures are solid not hollow and their wall if any are thin.
