Amazing ruins from hirise image? - what do you think?

These videos got me excited about possible ruins from an August 2008 Hirise image:

which was a follow-up from a previous youtube:

There was a stereo pair available, so I investigated further:

This is very close to the north pole of Mars at:

85.013° N 355.396° E

These images are a much closer look using the better hirise jp2 data:














Now, I'm not really as excited, as the closer images look much more natural.

Other people I have shown this to - usually pretty skeptical - are impressed by this.

Anyone have any thoughts?

Very interesting box-shaped foundation. Have you taken a look at the anaglyph?

It really looks artificial.

I haven't seen the anaglyph yet - but the images to make one are above - maybe marsscientist will do one of it; he makes some really excellent ones.

That box shape looks like a significant find - I had not seen that one either. Thanks.
