It is important to understand how the inhabitants on Mars "create". After several years of analysis of the MRO images, IMO I have concluded that they have the capability to modify matter probably at the sub-atomic level. This has great potential and is a capability we do not yet fully understand. As a result, the human eye can have some difficulty "catching" these great works of art which pepper the Martian surface. So far I have gathered, they manipulate the surface matter by way of a method of "solidifying" multidimensional holograms. There is quite some evidence which supports this theory where this process has been caught "in action". More on that in later posts.
Recognizing this, we must first understand what and how we create. We are, thus far, a resource based specie where we "bring together" components and fabricate. This applies to everything from "making a brick" to building a cathedral. Everything is a composite....everything. But to the inhabitants on Mars, they do not need to do this. That is not to say; they cannot and do not create using the composite method, they undoubtedly do. But pure efficiency dictates here and makes for far easier productivity to "change" the nature of matter in-situ. In doing so, we see many fabulous and immense "works of art". They are by nature, highly creative and "humorously" artistic!
However, as I said, this makes "seeing" their creations quite difficult as we have a predisposition to look for three dimensional anomalies like rocks and alike that "register" to our eye/brain as "the familiar". To some degree, we have been successful in "spotting" these remnants of their society scattered around the surface from the Mars rovers.
But...to really understand and fully appreciate their true nature, a new approach should be adopted whereby "viewing" the surface from above and especially from both the high definition MRO in 2D and especially more so, in the many stereo 3D anaglyph images.
On occasion though, I have found a few "surface manipulations" captured from the surface rovers. The image below is a good example of this found along the eastern rim of Victoria crater (location found in the image at the foot).
Also note, just to the very left of the girls head, one can just make out the "two sided" head of a canine and human "fused together" with it's left arm raised. There are other peculiar renditions close by also.
Take a look at this crater image (PIA09103) with focus on their "matter manipulations"...there are quite a few around the rim. Btw, this is NOT a crater per se (although undoubtedly was at one time) but the remains of a "nitrogen production basin" used long ago. Their dwellings or "stations" can still be seen on the very far side of the rim.
