Yes, it could be.
But these forms are really strange. Maybe the low gravity of Mars allows the volcanic lava to form such strange shapes that are impossible on earth.

I believe they are parts of some type of machinery, yes. But Ive looked at this many times and the "erosion and corrosion" is mostly "Photoshop" induced. They have covered nearly everything with this mask. As in most Mars pictures, there is a lot more to see in the original than in what we're shown.
I was astounded to find out just how much.
