Thanks to brianhopkins at TCI for his presentation " Triangular formation in Gale Crater ", based upon the MRO HiRISE ESP-013685-1750.
This present post was encouraged from an examination of this particular picture, as I felt some initial findings were worth viewing and considering by the members here and viewers in general. The entire photo is actually quite remarkable, not only in a seeming minimal amount of obfuscation .. but, by the scenes and areas of incredible detail to view. I have chosen however, just one site to example this somewhat rare condition.
The attached are of this pic, and a particular site ( as marked ).
My impression is that there appears to be a large community located in the Gale Crater area, which prompted the post heading as Cliff Dwellers. As mentioned, the entire pic seems crowded with people .. and of course, this is just my present understanding and honest opinion being expressed. What the viewer may or may not perceive, and their opinion is quite welcome./M
