I have this habit of occasionally thanking or acknowledging someone with a post .. hope you don't mind terribly Marsrocks. The place you sent me to look at pictures, had one I liked for its potential, and so downloaded it and found some good material for a posting. You do good for everybody so this is simply a thank you from all of us. At the bottom of an ESP is what appears a crater ... it is not. I surmise it was a gigantic structure built eons ago, and was ruined in the Mars Catastrophe. Mars once had an intact vapour-canopy .. similar to Earth's own. The destruction of this once intact canopy caused a global Martian Flood Event. All of the pictures you referred me to, without exception, show the ripples, sand dunes, erosion and flow marks only characteristic of a gigantic wave of water which built up and raced at incredible speed and ferocity across the countrysides to engulf all in its path. But, will let the attached ( hopefully ) provide an insight to this truly remarkable scene. Again, thanks much for working so diligently to resolve on the upload problem .. I was getting frustrated just watching helplessly as events and progress unfolded .. so much for the better too. Cheers / -M *************************************************************************************** Attachments:

You are right Morbius, that is not a old crater.
That circle looks like the ancient remains of the Martian version of our Hadron Collider.

Yes Ken, I suppose it could be something in that size range or functional order or purpose. Perhaps it was indeed a truly collosal energy generator for some now unfathomable purpose .. as a planetary or local energy shield unit? It would seem certain in any event the Ancient Builders didn't plan and construct something of that magnitude for something to do or were bored and wanted a week-end project to amuse themselves. No, methinks the entire planet had reached some degree of sophistication that defies our present understanding and quite likely over reached themselves playing or experimenting with the inherent powers of nature and physics to end up causing their own planetary or even solar system destruction? Someday we will piece it together and know the true history now withheld from us? Cheers /m
* glad you got extricated from that upload dillemna too! *********************************************************

I suspect that even here on earth some long ago extinct civilization had technology that we can only dream about now.
* Yes that photo upload problem came up all of a sudden out of the blue for some reason, I was posting photos on my threads just fine as one can attest by looking at my very first posting on this forum.
Strange indeed.

You are at the level of E.R Borroughs. Is as if I was reading John Carter of Mars. Cheers!
