Google earth Mars coordinates: 7° 5'59.28"S 98°54'42.94"W Check and make sure I got the same object: It appears to be just a hill. Though, it is a little strange-looking in the ctx map view: The rifts at the top looks like the ridges on a giant clam shell - and they even overhang the hill itself - as you can see they cast a shadow down on the lower part of the hill.

This hill is much brighter than the surrounding hills. It could be made of a higher content of brighter material - like lime or phosphorous, or it could have been more recently etched (or mined or shaped by mechanical forces, whether natural or artificial) than the nearby terrain.

Thanks, eric44. It was definitely worth a closer look, as very bright objects are often anomalous. Just as recently altered surfaces are typically the brightest areas in a scene, known artificial objects like space mission equipment/wreckage are also typically the brightest object(s) in the scene. So, it was good instinct on your part to identify this form for further investigation.
