I came across this image a long time ago and at first i thought it looked like a UFO but then I figured it didn't leave a shadow on the ground so it must be on the surface. So its probably not a UFO but it is interesting as it seems to be shining and much different than the terrain around it. photojournal.jpl.nasa.gov/jpeg/PIA07192.jpg

That object is anomalously bright. It really stands out from the background. It reminds me more of the monoliths, though. Here is a round disc object on the Cydonia face with a little triangular wedge opening on it, that looks something like a flying saucer to me:

There's another round disc shaped object on top of the pyramidal mound recently discovered by Keith Laney in the Cydonia area. I've got it marked in yellow in this video, and do a close-up of it at 0:45 : It looks like it has slipped off the pyramidal mound: www.marsanomalies.com/pyramidalmound

I get frustrated sometimes when I see something on one of their black and white images and wished they would provide a color image to compare it too. .

Rota and MarsRocks - The image PIA07192 is interesting - Here is what NASA has to say about it: Are parachutes that reflective? 8-)

Thanks, meangreen. Great observation. I guess the contrast adjustment creates the brightness, and the parachute is simply the brightest object in the scene. It is extremely bright in their picture. I wonder why it isn't covered in dust at that point? Dust devils and wind? photojournal.jpl.nasa.gov/catalog/PIA07192

With all the hype on curiosity capturing UFO's on camera I thought I would post this one that I found in Spirit sol 318. I have only seen this one in this frame I can't find it the other frames taken at the same time. What do you think is it just a smudge on spirits camera or is it something flying in Mars airspace? Here's the link marsrovers.jpl.nasa.gov/gallery/all/2/p/318/2P154595701EFF9400P2292R2M1.JPG

Good job on posting the pic! ;D It doesn't appear on the color image on Holger Isenberg's site: areo.info/mer/spirit/318/tn/2P154595733EFF9400P2292L5M1_L2L5L5L6L6.jpg.htmlHolger's image uses frames from the left pan cam. Your image was taken by the right pancam. This means whatever it is - is exclusively viewed from the right pancam - i.e. bad pixels (bad CCDs), a speck of dust, or a gnat on the lens, etc. To me, it looks like a gnat. I remember seeing one like this before, and was fascinated by that possibility. There is a similar one also that looks like something in motion - which is again viewable only from either the left or right. I'll see if I can find it.
