Just prior to the July 4th weekend the founding members of The Cydonia Institute were notified that their science paper -which reveals the parrot geoglyphic on the surface of Mars - was accepted for publication by a peer-reviewed science journal. The paper will be published in the Fall issue of the Journal of Scientific Exploration... Updates to follow. Zip Monster

The Official Graham Hancock Website Duo: Life existed on Mars HOWELL — A group of researchers, including a planetary researcher from Howell and an image analyst formerly from Jackson, claim that there are constructs on Mars that cannot be explained as the result of natural forces. Referring in particular to one parrot-shaped geoglyph that is the focus of their studies, James Miller of Howell said, “Yes, it could be partially natural, but it had to be worked. There would have to be six different geological events happening within a mile by a half-mile area for this thing to have happened naturally.” See full story: www.grahamhancock.com/news/index.php?node=25414BE ADVISED - quoted - NASA "scientist" Steven Squyres provided his remarks to the APP after looking at only one of four NASA images of the parrot geoglyph and never reading the published science paper. A really extraordinary formation. Particular interesting is the cultural context. It could be other example that allows an insight into an "alien" culture. Isn't it amazing to find an object in the shape of a parrot on Mars? What was the intention in building such a structure? What meaning is behind it? I'm curious how this story will evolve. @marsrocks How did you create this intersting image? The image shows various elevations and depths and gives a very good three-dimensional impression. Are these manually created adjustments or does this corresponds to the actual geology?

Convex, it should conform to the terrain. This is a self-taught thing though, that I'm still in the process of learning, so my accuracy will hopefully improve when I've done a few more. When I'm comfortable with it, I'll hopefully do a youtube video tutorial and send you a link.

ATTENTION: The official Parrot on Mars web site has been launched! Jim Miller, one of the co-author's of the science paper “Avian Formation on a South-Facing Slope Along the Northwest Rim of the Argyre Basin” and a member of The Cydonia Institute, has launched the official Parrotopia web site! The web site is a memorial to our friend Wil Faust, the discoverer of the parrot formation on Mars. Examine the pictures and explore the history. Parrotopia: www.parrotopia.org/Zip Monster

Wow - I didn't expect to see that old video I made tagged to the end of the article - I think we have a lot better pictures now than when I made the video!
