It blew my mind and I hope you're sitting. ::) Just look at the image from Opportunity on Sol 2140 pancam.astro.cornell.edu/pancam_instrument/images/Sol2140B_P2368_L257F.tifI could not understand, why no visible objects. Secret was simple, NASA specifically changed colors, so then nothing is clear. But today, incidentally managed to catch sight of the part and the identification began to pass more successfully to me. Unfortunately, I'm not very good at giving the right shades of skills and colors, so please do not judge strictly. I hope this piece will help you better than I do to restore the picture( this is a part and details of some huge mechanism) : ...as a supplement attached image of the missile from Spirit - Sol 522 pancam.astro.cornell.edu/pancam_instrument/images/Sol522A_P2436_L257F.tifP.S.: If these pictures are really made on Mars and not in Iraq or Tunisia, may be I'll re-watch all the "Stargate" series :o :)

Unfortunately it is very difficult to see but it is possible. At first it seemed to me that this is wreckage of the plane like the "RQ-170 Sentinel" or "Northrop B-2 Spirit" ...here is images just in "height-balanced" histogram:

They seem a bit reflective, like sheet metal because it is sheet metal. As proof take a look at this "aircraft". There are clearly visible details, including a part of the engine. Fuselage was detached and now it's in front of the "aircraft". (identification now will be more successful.) :) P.S.: Please, improve the image quality of this place if you have a time.

I've lost track of your location - are you still in sol 2140? Here are a couple of images from the last location:

Thank you very much, Marsrocks! Yes, I'm still in sol 2140. This "aircraft" is in the red rectangle:

Oh, man. I just saw this one. Now, I can't unsee it. And I can't think of any geological explanation for it. I also wonder if anyone but the two of us will be able to see it. Look at this tail fin nearly perfectly intact at the back of it:

I'm don't sure that only the two of us are "pioneers", but strange, that nowhere in the news this is not discussed. It's really amazing, similar technologies...
